Nuestra
Antigua Guatemala es una ciudad llena de costumbres,
historia y tradiciones que conjuntamente con
su gente son el alma de la ciudad colonial.
También la Antigua es una ciudad de
PERSONAJES, escritores, músicos, poetas,
pintores, escultores, etc. le dan brillo a
esta romántica ciudad.
Pero
también están los PERSONAJES
que por azares del destino han hecho de nuestras
calles empedradas su hogar de fantasías
y que poco a poco se han convertido en parte
de la vida misma, PERSONAJES sin los cuales
la ciudad de Las Perpetuas Rosas no tendría
ese toque nostálgico, romántico
y misterioso....
...
¿Qué sería de nuestra
Antigua sin el Coyote, Alf, El Muelitas,
Tono Ballena, Mama Repollo, Tacones y tantos
otros que guardan sus pensamientos y sus
recuerdos como su mas grande tesoro, y aunque
no lo digan a viva voz, aman a la Antigua
en silencio.
Algunos
se han marchado con sus pensamientos a algún
rincón de nuestra patria con la ilusión
de volver a recorrer las calles empedradas.
Otros se han ido para siempre a perderse
en el infinito, pero vivirán siempre
en nuestros recuerdos. Los que quedan y
los que surgen estarán esperando
que como antigüeños aprendamos
a comprenderlos, quererlos y respetarlos.

Antigua
is a city full of customs, history and traditions;
And all together with this people is the
soul of the colonial city.
Also Antigua is a CHARACTER city, writers,
musicians, poets and artists that give a
magic touch of romanticism to this special
place.
Also
there are CHARACTERS that due to misfortune
of destiny have made of cur cobble stone
streets their home of fantasies and little
by little, they have become part of our
lives, without these CHARACTERS. Antigua,
the Perpetual Roses City wouldn't have that
misterious romatic and nostalgic touch.
What would it be of our Antigua without
El Coyote, Alf, El Muelitas, Tono Ballena
and so many others that save their thouhts
and memories as their greatest treasure
and even they don't say it, they love their
Antigua in silence.
Some
of them have left with their thougnts to
some forgtten place of our country, with
the hope that some day they will come back
and look over the cobble stone streets.Other
have gone forever, lost in time, but will
live forever in our memories. the ones still
with us and the ones to arise will be waiting
so that we, as antigüeños, we
learn to understand, love and respect them.
